Usage: For any anesthesia systems of Selectatec type, compatible with Interlock
Setting range: 0.2%-5% for Isoflurane
Capability: 100ml
How long does our Vaporizer can be used is related to the specific anesthetic process operation, surgical complexity, anesthetic combination, etc., but there are still theoretical values that can be calculated:
Take 100ml/bottle of isoflurane as an example:
1. One milliliter of isoflurane can evaporate into 195ml of anesthetic gas;
2. Use the parameters on the anesthesia machine:
2.1 Anesthesia starts for 5 minutes
Assumption: the flowmeter (flowmeter) is set as 3 L/min;
Assumption: the concentration is set as 5%:
1 minute anesthetic dosage: 3x1000x5%=150ml anesthetic gas
Approximate usage of 5-minute anesthesia: 5x150=750ml anesthetic gas
The amount of liquid used for anesthetics in 5 minutes: 750-195=3.846 ml
2.2 Maintenance and end of anesthesia (operation time) 60 minutes
Assumption: the flowmeter (flowmeter) is set as 1.5 L/min;
Assumption: the concentration is set as 2.5%;
1 minute anesthetic dosage: 1.5x 1000x2.5%=37.5 ml anesthetic gas
60 minute anesthetic dosage: 60x37.5=2250 ml anesthetic gas
Amount of anesthetic liquid used for 60 minutes: 2250:195=11.538 ml
2.3 Total dosage for 60 minutes: 3.846 ml+11.538 ml=15.384 ml
2.4 One hour actual consumption of drugs (intraoperative concentration adjustment, drug residues, drug spillage, etc.): 4 ml.
Conclusion:
1. Actual dosage for one hour: 20ml. 1 bottle of 100 ml medicine: 5-6 hours; One bottle of 250ml: 12.5-15 hours.
2. If a large amount of induction anesthetic is used before the operation, or other anesthetic drugs are used during the operation, the amount of drug used for one hour will be further reduced.
3. If the ventilator is used for passive respiration, the dosage will increase.
