Installation of soda lime
! Warning:
1) Do not replace absorbent during ventilation;
2) Frequently replace absorbent to prevent deposit of non-metabolism gas when not operating;
3) After completion of each case, check color of absorbent. When the system is not operating, color of absorbent may restore to original color. Regarding details of change of color, refer to absorbent instructions manual;
4) If absorbent is totally dry, when in contact with anesthesia gas, CO2 will be released. For safety consideration, please replace absorbent. Suitable preventive measures shall be taken to avoid drying of absorbent. After use of the system, close all gas sources; this is an important measure to prevent drying of absorbent;
5) After replacement of absorbent, perform gas leakage test of respiration circuit.
! Caution:
1) CO2 absorbent can only be used for oxygen, nitrous oxide, halothane, enflurane, isoflurane, desflurane and Sevoflurane;
2) CO2 absorber shall be placed upright. No foreign matter shall exit between sealing washer and sealed surface to avoid gas leakage.
Prompt:
Soda lime absorbent is recommended for CWM-302.
- Soda lime absorbent is recommended for CWM-302.
- When color of absorbent in CO2 absorber gradually changes, CO2 has been absorbed. Change of absorbent color is only rough indication. Please use CO2 monitor to decide replacement of absorbent.
- Replaced absorbent shall be discarded. This is because after a period of placing, absorbent will restore to its original color, and this can be misleading.
- Loading of absorbent: (refer to Fig.4)
-Unscrew CO2 absorber in clockwise direction (6 in Fig.4);
-Load suitable amount of soda lime in CO2 absorber;
-Screw CO2 absorber on in counterclockwise direction, to fix it on anesthesia ventilation system again (Fig.4).
Vaporizer liquid drug perfusion
! Warning:
1) Never use inflammable or explosive anesthetic for this equipment!
2) Only specified anesthetic can be added in vaporizer! Never mix other agent!
For filling of drug liquid in vaporizer and inspections before and after such filling, refer to relevant technical instructions.
Installation
- Anti-clockwise rotate the locking lever of the vaporizer to 90 degrees.
- Put the vaporizer onto the fixing block mount, pay attention to the connection of vaporizer and mount.
- Clockwise rotate the locking lever of the vaporizer to 90 degrees.
- Check the connection between vaporizer and mount.

Connection of anesthesia ventilation system
Anesthesia breathing system and tidal volume (pressure/flow) sampling tube connection
! Warning:
This machine cannot be used with anti-static electric breathing pipe (threaded pipe) and mask. If such breathing pipe (threaded pipe) and mask are used near the high frequency electric operation equipment, burning would be caused.
For connection of anesthesia breathing pipeline and tidal volume (pressure/flow) sampling tube, refer to Fig.8.
